Influenster #QueenCollection #CoverGirl
About a month and a half ago I was randomly checking my business email and came across the infamous influenster survey for the new #QueenCollection by Cover Girl cosmetics. Infuenster.com is a community for bloggers and shoptista’s to review everyday products of all generes and share them with the world. I’ve been a Influenster blogger since 2012/2013 and have never received a voxbox. I had this strange feeling that maybe just maybe I had a chance to receive the free Voxbox from Influenster for the upcoming cycle. I kid you not Influenster actually pick me little old me I couldn’t believe I was in the beauty Voxbox bloggers. I was ecstatic and happy as ever. Even though I have mountains of makeup in my stash I waited on this Voxbox like a kid on christmas. I received this box April 22, 2016 and followed the Influenster guidelines. There was also a cover girl badge up to earn and additional fun blogging activities along with this box. These products were sent to me FREE for review but my review is truly honest of my sound body and mind. I will say this everything was fit for a beauty queen!
Unfortunately for me and my family I lost my grandmother the same week receiving this box so I couldn’t review everything in a timely manner due to taking a break from social media etc to recoup and take time off to be with my family. I finally get to try the products and fell in freaking LOVE!!! I have always loved CoverGirl products but would always have a hard time find matching products for my dark Caramel-Chocolate red undertone skin when it comes to foundation and lipsticks.
In the Queen Collection Voxbox I received 3 items
- Natural Hue Foundation in shade Q745
- False Lash Drama Mascara in Black
- Stay Luscious Lipstick in “Passion”
I absolutely loved every last product I received. I started with the Stay Luscious Lipstick in the shade Passion Q710. I loved the smooth creamy formula and the color is a blue base pink which compliments most skin tones for WOC. I do recommend a lip liner when using this lipstick. You will have to reapply through out the day but it’s still a really good everyday on the go lippie.
The next product I used was the False Lash Drama Mascara. I naturally have little to no actual lashes after using this mascara I never have to look any further. I used one application of this mascara and it gave my the look of short natural individual set of lashes. I was so impressed and shocked about this product I even got my mother to try this. She doesn’t even believe in wearing makeup and loved it as well. I am adding this to my Beauty Hit List this summer. I will be racking up on this for my beauty stash to keep in heavy rotation.
Last but not least I tried the Natural Hue Foundation in the shade Q745 (which is the darkest shade) I normally have major problems matching and finding foundations that actually match my skin tone. I generally mix two sometimes three foundations to achieve a unperfect match. I didn’t have to become a chemist using this foundation. I like the light smooth formula very water base. It gave me light to medium coverage. This is perfect for everyday simple foundation. I would highly recommend using a facial primer before applying this product and also a setting powder/mist to set the foundation in place. Even though i didn’t use a primer or concealer this formula is durable to last a few hours before the shine factor kicks into the t-zone.
I enjoyed trying out my free beauty goodies I will definitely be spreading the word about them. Finally cosmetics that are WOC and dark skin friendly. I commend Cover Girl for always making sure WOC are always included within there brand. I thank Influenster for choosing me for as one of many beauty bloggers for the Voxbox Queen Collection. It’s been a royal honor playing a beauty queen.
