First beauty Voxbox of the year complimentary of Influenster powered by L’Oreal Paris EverPure Collection. This time around I will be reviewing the L’Oreal Paris Ever Pure Frizz’ Defy Shampoo and L’Oreal Ever Pure Frizz’ Defy Conditioner.
Being of the Super Kinky-Curly hair spectrum, frizzy fluffy hair is a normality and a way of hair life. Frizz has become that one friend that nobody really likes but has grown on you, so you just learn to like them. There’s nothing wrong with frizz but it does create unwanted bad hair day when it comes to hair styling. As always my review of these products are HONEST and of my own opinion sound, body and mind. I received these products complimentary for review by Influenster.

First things first, let me say I’m really glad to see more commercial brands vegan beauty products. This I must say I really did enjoy the Frizz-Defy Shampoo. The easy to use squeeze bottle was perfect and easy for application. I LOVED the packaging of the products. It’s a pink/purple metallic color scheme which is pretty eye catching. The fact that it’s VEGAN is a hug plus in my book. Especially since I’m building a staple of vegan and cruelty free staples for my regimen. I first used this particular shampoo on extremely oily hair. It worked like a charm. It didn’t strip my hair but It did leave my hair very soft, and moisturize. The smell was really nice. A nice clean fresh scent that isn’t over whelming or smelled like a chemical perfume smell. The texture of the shampoo was very nice, smooth and creamy. It suds very well on my thick hair. It didn’t even take a much too suds up my hair. It had weight and surprisingly slip too. Which was a plus to the texture. Over all the frizz-defy shampoo was really good. I will repurchase once this one for my staples.
Now there’s a down side to this review. I will say the frizz-defy conditioner didn’t really work for me like the matching shampoo, which normally the roles are reversed with products. I love the packaging the easy to squeeze tube, the color and the light clean fresh smell of the product. The texture was the first thing I noticed as a red flag that I didn’t like. It wasn’t thick enough, but more of a light lotion consistency. It didn’t have enough slip for me since I have super thick, kinky curly hair. I could not detangle with this product, which is a huge minus in my book. Over all I think the formula needs some tweaking or sure be marketed for people with normal or straight styled hair not thick hair. I wouldn’t rule this conditioner out complete I would use this as a daily quick conditioner for those who wash their hair more frequently. It could also be mixed with essential oils and made into a deep conditioning treatment which may allow it to work better in my opinion. This one was kinda disappointing to me. It definitely missed the mark for me. I personally wouldn’t repurchase this but to each it’s own with this one.
