Fashion FridayπŸ‘—πŸ‘

When it comes to style people of color have always been trend setters in the genre of fashion among many other things. Even during each era black culture has always found ways of sharing the African cultures, tribal traditions and modern day outward expression with the way they dressed.

Whether it was head coverings, afros, locks, perms, double breasted suits, mini dresses, various forms of jewelry, Kango hats with low top kicks, door knocker earrings or a full drenched out attire with colors that could put a rainbow to shame. Black culture has ALWAYS found self reflection & expression in the world of fashion.

Last weekend’s BET Awards red carpet proved to still hold true to the expression “Black people have a style of their own”. Indeed it’s still very true till this day. We have our own special way of making things look good with pride and confidence.

Here are a few of my favorites from the red carpet.
